Description:

The influence of the Hollywood musical across geographical and cultural boundaries has long been neglected. This collection of essays seeks to initiate new critical debates by approaching classic Hollywood films from perspectives such as musicology. This volume covers themes of music and structure, European musical forms, youth cultures and more.
